San Stefanos is an approximate 1 hour 30 minute transfer journey from Corfu Airport on the north-west coast. The coach ride is well worth it, as you’ll find a quaint little fishing village perfect for quiet family holidays.
A gorgeous beach sweeps around a stunning bay, with the Ionian Sea stretching out in front and luscious green olive groves sitting behind. Small tavernas serving cool drinks and tasty snacks are dotted along the beach, so unwind in one of these between soaking up the sun.
The beach here is fantastic for children, with the sand gently sloping into the sea making shallow waters great for paddling. Water sports are on offer here, like in most resorts in Corfu. So for time spent away from your sun bed, speed along on a banana boat or try your skills at windsurfing.
While in San Stefanos don’t expect huge shopping trips – nearby Sidari has more shops on offer, or if you don’t mind a bus ride, Corfu Town holds most of the island’s shops. Likewise, if you’ve come to Corfu in search of a lively holiday with vibrant nightlife, you’re best heading to nearby Sidari (only 10 minutes away!) or party-mad Kavos on the south coast of the island.
Being on the coast of such a beautiful island in the Ionian Sea there’s many spectacular views to admire. Head off on a small trail through the fragrant olive groves up onto a hillside to watch the sunrise and sunsets on the horizon.
Staying in San Stefanos is an extremely friendly experience. Local families run the majority of the studios and apartments in the area and therefore you can expect to have a typically Greek holiday.
