Altinkum, literally meaning ‘Golden Sand’ in Turkish, is a thriving tourist resort located around a huge stretch of luscious beach areas.

However if you don’t mind travelling slightly further on a 50 minute journey, you can visit the wonderful Adaland Aqua Park in Kusadasi, which boasts to be Europe’s largest waterpark!
For a cultural day out, head out to the old town to marvel at the spectacularly large site of the Temple of Apollo. If you’re an ancient history enthusiast, don’t miss a trip to Ephesus, a truly magnificent classical city, highly famed as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
