Dalyan is a traditional Turkish town, dotted with pine trees, orange groves and orchards, set beneath striking Lycian rock tombs. The peaceful Dalyan Çayi River flows down through the village linking the land to the beautiful reed beds spread out to sea.
Being on the seafront and riverside brings many delicious fish restaurants, along with small bars and delightful shops and market stalls, all within walking distance. Boat trips along the river enable you to admire the picturesque countryside, taking in the fantastic array of flora and fauna, including the endangered Mediterranean Turtle.

Just along from Dalyan lies Kaunos, an ancient city rich in history and archaeological sites. Roman Baths, temples and a theatre are just some of the charming structures left to see, graciously overlooking the sea from their hillside position.
A 20 minute dolmus (minibus) ride or a 40 minute boat ride leads you to the stunning 7km long Iztuzu beach, an unspoilt sand island open to visitors during daylight hours. Caretta Caretta (or Loggerhead) turtles nest on the beach so special care must be taken to protect the magnificent species.
For a self-indulging, relaxing day, head out on a boat trip to the Sultaniye mud baths and thermal springs. The mud is abundant in minerals, revitalising sun-dried skin leaving you soothed and fresh-faced.
