Olu Deniz, famous for its long crescent beach and beautiful turquoise lagoon, an area protected from development is certainly the most photographed beach in the whole of Turkey.
The beach which is a long sandy sweeping finger with the famous blue lagoon behind and the warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea to the front is clearly one of the key factors for our guests choosing Olu Deniz for their holiday.
As the beach is a protected area there are no hotels directly on the most attractive parts of the beach (by the lagoon). The hotels are built on the hill side on the road leading down from Hisaronu (another one of our resorts) most enjoying fine views out to sea. We offer everything from 4* and 5* hotels down to more simple B&B pension accommodation.
Night life in Olu Deniz is popular with many bars but many take a bus 4 km to the livelier village of Hisaronu 4km from Olu Deniz.
Towards the end of the season its one of the top places in the world for Paragliding when the wind and weather conditions attract many enthusiasts taking off from Babadag mountains at a height of 6500 ft and gliding down to the sea to the beach at Olu Deniz. But flights are on offer through out the whole of the season.
Away from the beach and only short dolmus bus ride away a great place to see is the so called ghost town of Kayakoy, an old village of some 3000 building not inhabited since 1923. Or try your bargaining skills in Fethiye market about 12km away and easily reached by dolmus bus. In much of Turkey you are never far away from sites of historic interest, the Lycian cities of Tlos & Salkikent where you can see stunning rock tombs and roman baths and amphitheatres.
Other resorts near by are Hisaronu located in the hills above Olu Deniz often cooler in the evening and Ovacik between Hisaronu and Fethiye
